Whatever you used for endgame HR. Sadly there's not really a starter build cause the first dozen monsters dont give anything for Bowgun till you reach the new apex monsters. The first several sets of gear have things like, a little bit of crit eye, health boost, some attack boost. Which is just basic skills for most weapons. Put it on under customize bowgun, stand still and don't shoot, auto block incoming attack. Its functional it does its job, but I prefer the utility/damage of the other mods and just getting a point or two in evade extender. If you have the guard up gem or uragaan 3 piece you can block all the elder dragon 1 hit moves aswell. 300 hours in and ... ….
