How to connect xfi pod

A power outage happened and more my xfi pod won't reconnect. It seems to just perpetually search for the modem but not find it. I've tried restarting multiple times and deleting the xfi pod which didn't seem to fix the issue. (Update) it seems it will only connect when comically close to the modem..
